Beginning Preventative Care for Puppies
To ensure that your puppy receives complete preventative care to protect against disease, we recommend a series of three visits. During these visits, your puppy will receive all vaccinations needed to maintain good health. In addition, a veterinarian will thoroughly examine your puppy to identify any potential problems. Maintaining the Health of Your Adult Dog
In order to maintain your dog’s health, we recommend the following annual preventative healthcare: Comprehensive Physical Exam to detect signs of disease, illness or aging concerns Intestinal parasite (worm) testing Heart worm preventative medication Vaccinations, which may include: DHLPP to protect against Distemper, Canine Hepatitis/Adenovirus Type 1 & 2, Canine Parainfluenza, Leptospirosis, Canine Parvovirus Rabies vaccine Bordetella vaccine for kennel cough All dogs benefit from yearly physical examinations that include a fecal examination for intestinal parasites, and a heart worm test (blood test) for adult heart worms. An annual physical examination and yearly report from the owner can help our veterinarians detect health conditions at an early stage.Caring for your pet while he or she is healthy is more cost effective and creates happy, healthy pets.
